Impact Program
The Making An IMPACT Program, a partnership between Grant County Special Education Cooperative and Indiana Wesleyan University, was created to give students with disabilities (ages 18-22) the opportunity to explore the world and life beyond the walls of their local high school. With the help of IWU student mentors, IMPACT students learn to be more independent, increase their social circle, and learn how to live an abundant life. IMPACT students learn life skills, experience the college
atmosphere, and can work as volunteers in various capacities on the IWU campus. All of these opportunities lead to more independence! IMPACT students are selected by the case conference committee during a student’s case conference. To learn more information, please reach out to our Special Services Director, Sherry Pate.
