Grant County Special Education Cooperative
Vocational Preparedness Program (VPP):
Indiana Wesleyan University has partnered with each of the 5 Grant County high schools to offer the VPP. The Vocational Preparedness Program (VPP) is designated for juniors and seniors to build their understanding of how to obtain, sustain, and retain meaningful employment through communication, collaboration, and a strong work ethic. VPP will help students develop in-demand employability skills that prepare them to meet the ever-changing needs of today's workforce while
earning 3 high school credits per semester. This program will fulfill the Graduation Pathways requirements outlined by the Indiana Department of Education. Our goal is to prepare students with targeted job skills to enable them to grow into successful adults, while working in their community in jobs they love. VPP students are selected by the case conference committee during a student’s case conference. To learn more information, please reach out to our Special Services Director, Sherry Pate.
