Club Information

Math Bowl is an extracurricular program for students who show interest and strengths in the area of mathematics. Students in this club will meet once per week, after school, and practice various math concepts. A competition is held in late winter for area schools.

Eligibility

Math Bowl is open to fourth and fifth grade students who are referred by their teachers and demonstrate high ability and/or high growth on their Math NWEA assessment scores. The goal of the club is to increase critical/conceptual math thinking skills.

Expectations

Students on the Math Bowl team must demonstrate a willingness and desire to increase their math skills. They should attend all practices unless absent from school or if a parent makes contact with the school prior to the practice. Students need transportation from school to home after practices.
