Girls Who Code
Girls Who Code (GWC) is an after-school club for girls who are interested in learning more about computer science. The Northview Elementary Girls Who Code program will be a subsidiary of the National Girls Who Code community. Their goal is to create future female engineers in the United States. Currently, there are over 90,000 girls in Girls Who Code programs around the country.
Open to all girls in grades 3-5. The club will meet for one hour after school once a week. Students must submit an application to be considered for admittance to the Girls Who Code club. Mr. Cheney will make an announcement when GWC opens for applications.
Students participating in the coding club must have transportation home following after-school meetings. They must maintain classroom grades and behavior in order to continue in the club.
